The Boxenstop is more than just a museum. It all began with a 1962 model Volvo PV 544 ...
This was the car the owner and initiator drove in 1979. Until the 'motor museum’ first opened its doors in 1985, the passionate collector added many more cars to his car pool. Soon the collection was extended again, now including toys as well. Today the entire exhibition covers 1200 square metres.
Visitors can see an exquisite collection of lovingly restored vintage racing cars, sports cars and motorcycles and more than 1,000 toys made out of metal, casting, wood, porcelain or celluloid. Seventy years of motor sports and toy history are brought to life in this delightful museum. Countless posters and enamel signs create a historical ambient. Must see pieces in the exhibit include the Maserati 4 CL, the Bugatti 37, as well as sports cars from Ferrari, Jaguar, Porsche and more. Special exhibits are held regularly.
It is an experience that both the young and old can enjoy. The Boxenshop has made a name for itself by organising various events and Oldtimer meetings and rallys for clubs.
